Milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile began March with a new leaf, seeing higher movement as traders take back losses from coronavirus fears.

March Class III milk up six cents at $16.37.  April up 11 cents at $16.28.  May 11 cents higher at $16.38.  June up 15 cents at $16.57.  July through October contracts seven to 14 cents higher.

Dry whey down $0.0050 at $0.3350. 

Blocks up $0.0450 at $1.7675.  Three sales were made ranging from $1.75 to $1.7675.

Barrels down $0.0050 at $1.5850.   Three trades were made at $1.5850 and $1.59.

Butter up $0.1050 at $1.83.  Four sales were made at $1.82 and $1.83.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0450 at $1.11.  Six trades were made at $1.10 to $1.11.
