Milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed the week higher supported by increasing butter prices while cash trade was mixed.

July Class III milk unchanged at $16.48. August up seven cents at $16.29. September a dime higher at $16.36. October up five cents at $16.94. November through January contracts two cents lower to a penny higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.5025.

Blocks unchanged at $1.6350. One sale was made at $1.6325.

Barrels down $0.0025 at $1.39.

Butter up $0.02 at $1.6425. Three trades were made from $1.6425 to $1.6550.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0025 at $1.2675.
