Milk futures down, cash mostly steady to lower

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Class III milk futures were lower. August was down $.13 at $16.22 and September was $.24 lower at $16.26, while October was down $.17 at $16.89 and November was $.08 lower at $17.58.

On the spot market, cash cheese blocks were $.0075 lower at $1.3925 and 40-pound blocks were unchanged at $1.635. Grade A nonfat dry milk was $.015 higher at $1.265. AA butter held steady at $1.6225. Extra grade dry whey was down $.03 at $.5025.
