Milk futures, cash dairy trade mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended the week mixed correcting over traded positions while cash cheese closed lower.

January Class III milk was four cents higher at $20.29. February 32 cents lower at $20.54. March up six cents at $21.75. April up six cents at $21.53. May through July four cents lower to 11 cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.80.

Blocks down $0.0375 at $1.8075.

Barrels down $0.0050 at $1.8125. Two trades were made at that price.

Butter up $0.0350 at $2.9350. Eighteen trades were made from $2.89 to $2.94.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0050 at $1.8150. Three trades were made from $1.81 to $1.8150.
