Milk futures, cash dairy mostly lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange started the week mostly lower along with cash trade. Barrel cheese and butter saw higher trade on the cash market.

February Class III milk down 12 cents at $17.94. March 20 cents lower at $17.81. April down 16 cents at $18.02. May six cents lower at $18.49. June through August contracts a penny lower to seven cents higher.

Dry whey down $0.0075 at $0.32. Five trades were made from $0.3175 to $0.3325.

Blocks down $0.08 at $1.88. One trade was made at $1.87.

Barrels up $0.0275 at $1.58. Six sales were made from $1.56 to $1.58.

Butter up $0.08 $2.3525. Two sales were made at $2.35 and $2.3525.

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.1525. Two trades were made at $1.15 and $1.1525.
