Milk futures, cash dairy mostly higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange changed their tune to end the week closing mostly higher supported by improved cash trade.

April Class III milk up eight cents at $17.67.  May up 54 cents at $19.04.  June up 48 cents at $19.06.  July 45 cents higher at $19.10.  August through October contracts 28 to 38 cents higher.

Dry whey up $0.0150 at $0.6750.  One sale was made at $0.6650.

Blocks up $0.04 at $1.78.  Ten sales were made from $1.75 to $1.78.

Barrels up $0.0325 at $1.69.  Seven trades were made at $1.6675 and $1.69.

Butter down $0.0275 at $1.85.  Two sales were made at $1.85 and $1.8550.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0025 at $1.2150.  Five trades were made at that price.
