Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile closed in mixed territory Friday as traders worked to buy back oversold positions.

February Class III milk down a penny at $16.99.  March down a penny at $16.31.  April 15 cents higher at $16.17.  May up 17 cents at $16.27.  June through September contracts unchanged to a dime higher.

Dry whey up $0.0025 at $0.34. 

Blocks unchanged at $1.7225. 

Barrels unchanged at $1.59.  

Butter up $0.03 at $1.7250.  Thirty-nine sales were made ranging from $1.6725 to $1.7250.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0150 at $1.0650.  Eleven trades were made ranging from $1.0650 to $1.08.
