Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange started the week mixed with limited cash sales and a higher dollar.

December Class III milk was up four cents at $16.16. January five cents higher at $16.36. February down a penny at $16.63. March a nickel lower at $17.37. April through June contracts three to five cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.40.

Blocks up $0.0275 at $1.5475. Three sales were made at $1.5425 and $1.5475.

Barrels up $0.0150 at $1.5350. Two sales were made at $1.5350 and $1.54.

Butter up $0.0275 at $2.6825. Three sales were made from $2.6550 to $2.67.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.01 at $1.17. Seven trades were made from $1.1675 to $1.1725.
