Milk futures, cash dairy lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed lower Monday ahead of a potentially negative Global Dairy Trade report and following big slides on the cash market.  

July Class III milk down two cents at $24.53.  August down 75 cents at $20.28.  September 75 cents lower at $18.17.  October 29 cents lower at $17.70.  November through January contracts unchanged to four cents higher.

Dry whey down $0.0125 at $0.33.  Two sales were made at $0.33 and $0.3325. 

Blocks down $0.1750 at $2.0775.  Five sales were made ranging from $2.0750 to $2.08.

Barrels down $0.2150 at $2.02.  One trade was made at that price.

Butter down $0.0275 at $1.58.  Twenty-five trades were made ranging from $1.56 to $1.58.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0125 at $0.9650.  Six sales were made ranging from $0.9625 to $0.97.
