Milk futures begin week mostly lower, cash dairy steady to higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly lower, with cash dairy steady to higher Monday.

August Class III milk down 12 cents at $16.67.  September down a nickel at $17.26.  October futures 16 cents lower at $17.89.  November through January four to five cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.5375.

Blocks steady at $1.6150. 

Barrels up $0.01 at $1.45.

Butter up $0.0350 at $1.7125.  Two trades were made, ranging $1.7075 to $1.7125.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0075 at $1.26.  Two trades made, with a range of $1.2575 to $1.26.
