CME milk mostly lower, cash dairy steady to lower Tuesday

Milk futures were lower except January and cash dairy prices were steady to lower Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III prices were up $0.03 settling at $19.48, seeing strong end-of-the-month interest. 

February Class III milk was down $0.10 at $17.84.  March was down $0.25 at $17.56.  April was down $0.15 at $17.87.  May was down $0.12 at $18.37.  June through December contracts range from thirteen cents lower in June to twenty-three cents lower in July and August.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.32.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were down $0.01 at $1.87.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.58.  Two sales were recorded at that price.

Butter was down $0.0475 at $2.3050.  Twenty-two sales were recorded from $2.3050 to $2.3525.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1525.  No sales were recorded.
