CME milk higher, cash dairy mixed Monday

Milk futures were up in the near term and cash dairy prices were mixed Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February Class III milk was up $0.43 at $18.67.  March was up $0.29 at $18.28.  April was up $0.26 at $18.58.  May was up $0.21 at $18.85.  June through January contracts were all one to seven cents lower except June, which was up sixteen cents to $19.14.

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.3275.  Four sales were made from $0.3250 to $0.33.

Cheese prices rebounded a bit, with blocks up $0.1550 at $1.99.  Two sales were recorded at $1.9875 and $1.99.

Cheese barrels were up $0.09 at $1.67.  Two sales were recorded at $1.5775 and $1.67.

Butter was down $0.04 at $2.2825.  One sale was made at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1725.  No sales were recorded.
