CME milk futures up, cash dairy mixed Tuesday

Milk futures were up in the near term and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Tuesday.

June Class III milk was unchanged at $24.33.  July closed up $0.19 at $22.62.  August closed up $0.08 at $23.16.  September was up $0.11 at $23.53.  October through May contracts ranged from four cents lower in May to seven cents higher in March.

Dry whey was down $0.0175 at $0.4825.  Four sales were made from $0.4825 to $0.49.

Cheese Blocks were up $0.0525 at $2.1425. One sale was made at that price.

Cheese Barrels were up $0.0175 at $2.16.  Two sales were made at $2.14 and $2.16.

Butter was up $0.0575 to $2.9675.  Nine sales were made from $2.94 to $2.9675.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0150 at $1.7650. Two sales were made at $1.7625 and $17650.
