CME milk futures, most cash dairy up Thursday

Milk futures and most cash dairy prices bounced back a little Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was up $0.26 at $19.11.  February was up $0.15 at $18.31.  March was up $0.09 at $18.31.  April was up $0.01 at $18.51.  May through December contracts ranged from one cent lower in September and October to eight cents higher in November.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.4150.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0075 at $1.98.  Two sales were recorded at $1.9650 and $1.97.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0050 at $1.72.  Four sales were recorded from $1.71 and $1.72.

Butter was unchanged at $2.38.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0125 at $1.2975.  Three sales were recorded from $1.2950 to $1.2975.
