CME milk futures mixed, cash dairy steady Tuesday

Milk futures were higher in the near term and the cash dairy markets were steady Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

August Class III milk was unchanged at $17.36.  September was up $0.03 at $17.97. October was up $0.03 at $18.26.  November was up $0.01 at $18.52.  December through June contracts ranged from three cents lower in January to fifteen cents higher in April. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.2750.  Six sales were recorded at $0.2725 and $0.2750.  

Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.9650 with no sales recorded since Friday. 

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.80. One sale was recorded at $1.7975. 

Butter was unchanged at $2.65.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1250. Five sales were recorded at that price.
