CME milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed Tuesday

Milk futures were mostly lower and cash dairy prices mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

March Class III milk was down $0.08 at $17.70.  April was down $0.01 at $17.61.  May was down $0.06 at $17.84.  June was up $0.01 at $18.32.  July through January contracts were all unchanged except August, which was down $0.04 at $19.31

Dry whey was down $0.0075 at $0.4375.  One sale was made at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.07 at $1.8450.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were up $0.03 at $1.6675.  Fourteen sales were recorded from $1.6375 to $1.6675.

Butter was unchanged for a third straight trading session at $2.3450.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0125 at $1.1650.  Two sales were recorded at $1.1575 and $1.1650.
