CME milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy prices mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

March Class III milk was down $0.04 at $17.71.  April was down $0.14 at $17.45.  May was down $0.10 at $17.80.  June was down $0.13 at $18.32.  July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in October to ten cents lower in August.

Dry whey was down $0.0125 at $0.4350.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were up $0.01 at $1.91.  Four sales were recorded from $1.89 to $1.91

Cheese barrels were down $0.0225 at $1.53.  Three sales were recorded from $1.5250 to $1.53.

Butter was down $0.0350 at $2.3450.  Two sales were recorded at $2.3450 and $2.35.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.18.  Three sales were recorded from $1.1750 to $1.18.
