CME milk futures lower, cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy prices were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

May Class III milk was down $0.11 at $16.57.  June was down $0.07 at $16.99.  July was down $0.01 at $17.76.  August was down $0.01 at $18.52.  September was down one cent at $19/15, and October through March contracts had no changes.

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.3275.  Ten sales were recorded from $0.3250 to $0.3275.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0525 at $1.6125.  Nineteen sales were recorded from $1.6125 to $1.62.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0175 at $1.53.  Three sales were recorded from $1.53 to $1.5325.

Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.4450.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0050 at $1.1975.  Four sales were recorded from $1.1950 to $1.1975.
