CME milk futures keep falling, cash dairy mixed Thursday

The downward trend for Milk futures continues, and cash dairy prices were mostly lower Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

July Class III milk was down $0.26 at $14.09.  August was down $0.27 at $14.77.  September was down $0.23 at $15.96.  October was down $0.19 at $16.95.  November through May contracts ranged from nineteen cents lower in November to three cents higher in January.

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.2325.  Twelve sales were recorded from $0.2325 to $0.24.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.33.  Nine sales were recorded from $1.33 to $1.3325.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0325 at $1.35.  Fifteen sales were recorded from $1.35 to $1.38.

Butter was unchanged at $2.44.  Four sales were recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0025 at $1.12.  Six sales were recorded from $1.1125 to $1.12.
