CME milk futures fall, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy prices were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

July Class III milk was down $0.49 at $15.29.  August was down $0.45 at $16.18.  September was down $0.37 at $17.28.  October was down $0.18 at $18.02.  November through May contracts ranged from nine cents lower in December to five cents higher in May.

Dry whey was down $0.0025 at $0.2650.  Twelve sales were recorded from $0.2650 to $0.2675.

Cheese blocks were up $0.01 at $1.41.  Four sales were recorded from $1.4050 to $1.4125.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0025 at $1.5075.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Butter was up $0.0325 at $2.38.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0075 at $1.1425.  Three sales were recorded from $1.1450 to $1.15.
