CME milk futures fall, cash dairy mixed Monday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were mixed Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was down $0.17 at $19.07.  February was down $0.20 at $18.87.  March was down $0.20 at $19.14.  April was down $0.15 at $19.47.  May through November contracts ranged from seven cents lower in June to eighteen cents lower in October.

The dry whey market was active as the price fell $0.0450 to $0.41.  Ten sales were recorded from $0.41 to $0.44.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0225 at $2.00.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0050 at $1.7350.  Two sales were recorded at $1.7350 and $1.7375.

Butter dropped $0.1550 to $2.70.  Three sales were recorded from $2.70 to $2.7450.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.01 at $1.36.  Two sales were recorded at $1.36 and $1.3625.
