CME milk futures down, cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were mixed to close the week on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday.

May Class III milk was down $.03 at $25.09.  June closed down $.32 at $24.48.  July closed down $.20 at $24.65.  August was down $.36 at $24.12.  September through March contracts ranged from fourteen cents lower in September to thirteen cents higher in November.

Dry whey was up $.0075 at $0.5075.  Two sales were recorded at $.5050 and $.5075.

Cheese Blocks were unchanged at $2.38.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were down $.0525, closing at $2.3475.  Five sales were recorded from $2.3475 to $2.3575.

Butter was up $.0225 at $2.85.  Eight sales were made from $2.83 to $2.8525.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.01 to $1.80.  One sale was made at that price.
