CME milk futures, cash dairy up Thursday

Milk futures were up, and cash dairy prices were steady to higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Thursday.

July Class III milk was up $0.25 at $22.64.  August closed up $0.40 to $21.84.  September closed up $0.66 at $22.20.  October was up $0.51 to $22.56.  November through June contracts ranged from one cent higher in June to forty cents higher in November.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.49.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Blocks were unchanged for a second day at $2.0850. No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were up $0.02 at $2.1875.  Two sales were made at $2.18 and $2.1850.

Butter remains unchanged at $2.94, but after sixteen sales Wednesday, there were none Thursday.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0125 at $1.7525. Four sales were recorded from $1.75 to $1.7525.
