CME milk futures & cash dairy up Thursday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were all up Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

September Class III milk was up $0.02 at $20.01.  October closed up $0.01 at $20.36.  November was up $0.15 at $20.31.  December was up $0.18 to $21.28.  January through July contracts ranged from fourteen cents higher in June to twenty-nine cents higher in January. 

Dry whey was up $0.0050 to $0.4650.  One sale was made at that price.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.76. No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels went down $0.0125 closing at $1.8625. Two sales were recorded at $1.86 and $1.8625.

Butter went up $0.0350 closing at $3.0350.  Eleven sales were recorded from $3.0250 to $3.0350.

Nonfat dry milk gained $0.0050 closing at $1.5450.  Two sales were recorded at $1.5424 to $1.5450.
