CME milk futures & cash dairy prices mostly up Thursday

Milk futures were up in the near term and cash dairy prices were mostly up Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was up $0.52 at $19.25.  February was up $0.29 at $18.52.  March was up $0.08 at $18.61.  April was up $0.01 at $18.97.  May through November contracts ranged from three cents lower in July to twelve cents lower in June.

Dry whey was up $0.02 to $0.3850.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0450 at $2.0725.  No sales were recorded, but there were two bids.

Cheese barrels were up $0.06 at $1.76.  Two sales were recorded at $1.8175 and $1.82 and there were two unaccepted offers.

Butter was unchanged at $2.4750.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.33.  One sale was made at that price.
