CME milk futures & cash dairy prices down Wednesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were down again Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

November Class III milk was down $0.38 at $20.47.  December was down $0.25 at $19.10.  January was down $0.16 at $19.13.  February was down $0.15 at $19.33.  March through September contracts ranged from unchanged in July to fifteen cents lower in June. 

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.43.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0425 to $1.9975.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0250 at $1.98. Two sales were recorded at $1.98 and $2.0075.

Butter was down $0.0025 at $3.15.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk remains unchanged at $1.42, but there was market activity with three sales at that price.
