CME milk futures & cash dairy mostly higher Monday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly up Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was up $0.39 at $19.70.  February was up $0.56 at $19.15.  March was up $0.27 at $18.71.  April was up $0.18 at $18.83.  May through December contracts ranged from unchanged in October to fourteen cents higher in July.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.39.  No sales were recorded.

The cheese market saw considerable gains with blocks up $0.1425 at $2.1975.  Two sales were recorded at $2.18 and $2.1975.

Cheese barrels were up $0.10 at $1.8250.  Seven sales were recorded from $1.80 to $1.8275.

Butter was up $0.0375 at $2.42.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.2775.  One sale was recorded at that price.
