CME milk futures & cash dairy mostly down Wednesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly down Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October Class III milk was unchanged at $21.61.  November closed down $0.04 at $21.73.  December was down $0.06 at $21.70.  January was down $0.08 to $21.32.  February through August contracts ranged from unchanged in May to twenty-five cents lower in July. 

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.4875.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.06 closing at $2.06.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were unchanged at $2.06. Two sales were recorded from $2.06 to $2.08.

Butter was down $0.0325 at $3.2075.  Two sales were recorded at $3.20 and $3.2075.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0250 to $1.55.  Four sales were recorded from $1.55 to $1.5525.
