CME milk futures & cash dairy mixed Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

July Class III milk was down $0.07 at $13.90.  August was up $0.15 at $14.52.  September was up $0.01 at $15.62.  October was up $0.08 at $16.68.  Prices fell after October, as November through June contracts ranged from unchanged in February, March, and April to eleven cents lower in January.

Dry whey was down $0.0025 at $0.2275.  Twenty sales were recorded from $0.2275 to $0.23.

Cheese blocks were up $0.03 at $1.3925.  Two sales were recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0225 at $1.38.  Twenty-five sales were recorded from $1.36 to $1.38.

Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.48.  Seven sales were recorded from $2.47 to $2.48.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.0875.  Four sales were recorded from $1.0875 to $1.0925.
