CME milk futures, cash dairy higher Monday
Milk futures were higher and the cash dairy markets steady to higher Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August Class III milk was up $0.16 at $17.36. September was up $0.46 at $17.94. October was up $0.43 at $18.23. November was up $0.40 at $18.51. December through June contracts ranged from unchanged in May, June, and July to twenty-four cents higher in December.
Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.2750. Two sales were recorded at that price.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.9650 with no sales recorded.
Cheese barrels were up $0.0250 at $1.80. Two sales were recorded at $1.7950 and $1.7975.
Butter was up $0.03 at $2.65. Fourteen sales were recorded, ranging from $2.62 to $2.65.
Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1250. Thirteen sales were recorded, ranging from $1.12 to $1.1250.
