CME milk futures, cash dairy down Thursday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly down on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Thursday.

March Class III milk was down $0.04 at $17.76.  April was down $0.16 at $17.74.  May was down $0.11 at $18.25.  June was down $0.12 at $18.77.  July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in January to sixteen cents lower in October.

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.4625.  Three sales were made at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.01 at $1.95.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0325 at $1.5675.  Eight sales were recorded from $1.5675 to $1.5925.

Butter was unchanged for a second straight day at $2.38 and again, no sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.2150.  six sales were recorded from $1.21 to $1.22.
