CME milk futures & cash dairy closed higher Thursday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were up Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

November Class III milk was up $0.19 at $20.87.  December was up $0.81 at $19.87.  January was up $0.55 at $19.45.  February was up $0.42 at $19.69.  March through October contracts ranged from fifteen cents higher in October to thirty-six cents higher in March. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.4525.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0325 to $2.01.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were up $0.0050 at $1.9750.  Three sales were recorded from $1.9550 to $1.9750.

Butter ended it’s three-day slide, closing up $0.0575 at $2.6675.  There were three sales ranging from $2.66 to $2.67.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.01 to $1.38.  Two sales were recorded at that price.
