CME milk futures and cash dairy prices fall Tuesday

Milk futures and most cash dairy prices were down after the holiday weekend Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October Class III milk was down $0.13 at $21.79.  November was down $0.27 at $21.13.  December was down $0.40 at $20.72.  January was down $0.42 to $20.36.  February through August contracts ranged from unchanged in August to twenty-four cents lower in March. 

Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.41.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $2.0350.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0050 at $2.1850. No sales were recorded.

Butter was down $0.0450 at $3.1850.  Seven sales were recorded from $3.1850 to $3.23.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.53.  No sales were recorded.
