CME milk futures and cash dairy prices closed higher Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were higher except for butter Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April Class III milk was up $0.57 at $19.17.  May was up $0.55 at $18.86.  June was up $0.47 at $19.00.  July was up $0.35 at $19.32.  August through February contracts ranged from unchanged in January to fifteen cents higher in February.

Dry whey was up $0.0075 at $0.4675.  One sale was recorded at $0.47.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0450 at $1.9975.  Five sales were recorded from $1.9525 to $1.9975.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0725 at $1.96.  Sixteen sales were recorded from $1.8875 to $1.96.

Butter was unchanged at $2.40.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0075 at $1.1875.  One sale was recorded at that price.
