CME milk & dairy prices mostly down Friday
Milk futures were mostly lower and cash dairy prices were down except for butter Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
July Class III milk was up $0.06 at $15.35. August was down $0.06 at $16.12. September was down $0.01 at $17.27. October was down $0.02 at $18.00. November through May contracts ranged from one cent lower in November and March to one cent higher in December.
Dry whey was unchanged at $0.2650. No sales were recorded.
Cheese blocks were down $0.0050 at $1.4050. Three sales were recorded from $1.4050 to $1.4075.
Cheese barrels were down $0.0075 at $1.50. No sales were recorded.
Butter was up $0.04 at $2.42. One sale was recorded at $2.4175.
Nonfat dry milk was down $0.01 at $1.1325. One sale was made at that price.
