CME milk and dairy prices keep sliding down Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices continued to slide on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday.

September Class III milk was down $0.53 at $19.73.  October closed down $0.30 at $20.00.  November was down $0.39 at $20.60.  December was down $0.25 to $20.60.  January through July contracts ranged from down eight cents in June to thirty-five cents lower in March. 

For a third straight day, dry whey remains unchanged at $0.45 with no sales activity.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0575  at $1.82. No sales were recorded. 

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0525 at $1.8950. There were three sales from $1.8950 to $1.9225.

Butter went down $0.0150 closing at $2.94.  Ten sales were recorded from $2.9275 to $2.9425.

Nonfat dry milk finished the week unchanged at $1.52.  No sales were recorded.
