CME milk and cash dairy prices mixed Wednesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was up $0.05 at $19.58.  February was up $0.19 at $19.29.  March was down $0.04 at $18.63.  April was up $0.03 at $18.88.  May through December contracts ranged from unchanged in July, August, October, November, and December to nine cents higher in May.

There was no sales activity in the cash dairy market Wednesday.

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.3550.  Seven sales were recorded from $0.3525 to $0.3550.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $2.1825.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.80.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was unchanged at $2.43.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0175 at $1.2950.  No sales were recorded.
