CME milk and cash dairy down except butter Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were down except for butter on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday.

July Class III milk was down $0.10 at $22.52.  August closed down $0.20 to $20.16.  September closed down $0.27 at $20.19.  October was down $0.24 to $20.76.  November through June contracts ranged from four cents lower in November to thirty cents lower in June.

Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.4550.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Blocks were down $0.0625 at $1.9950. One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese Barrels were down $0.0350 at $2.07.  Ten sales were recorded from $2.0450 to $2.07.

Butter went up $0.03 gaining back some of the week’s losses, closing at $2.93.  There were 11 sales ranging from  $2.9025 to $2.93.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0150 at $1.66. Five sales were recorded from $1.6475 to $1.66.
