CME dairy prices continue to fall Tuesday

Milk futures and cash dairy markets were mostly down on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Tuesday, August 3rd.

August Class III milk was down $.15 at $15.96.  September was down $.22 closing at $15.93.  October was down $.19 at $16.48.  November was down $.11 at $17.27.  December through June contracts ranged from zero to ten cents lower.

Dry whey was down $.0225 at $.48. There were two trades at that price.

Blocks were unchanged for a second straight day at $1.6350, and like Monday, no sales were recorded.  

Barrels went down $.0025 to $1.3075.  There was one sale at that price.

Butter closed down $.08 at $1.62 losing Monday’s five-cent gain.  There were two sales at $1.62 and $1.6250. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $.0075 to $1.2675.  One sale was made at $1.27.
