CME dairy markets down Tuesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were lower Tuesday except for dry whey on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August Class III milk was down $0.24 at $17.45.  September was down $0.57 at $17.53. October was down $0.53 at $17.89.  November was down $0.44 at $18.25.  December through June contracts ranged from unchanged in May to twenty cents lower in February.

Dry whey was up $0.01 at $0.26.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.96.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.87.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was down $0.01 at $2.67.  Twenty-five sales were recorded, ranging from $2.67 to $2.68.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.1425.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.1375 to $1.1425.
