The milk glut bottleneck

dairy cattle in barnThe average dairy cow produces 14 percent more milk today than she did ten years ago.  One dairy economist says while dairy farms have become more efficient at producing milk and it’s created a bottleneck.  Brian Gould with the University of Wisconsin-Madison tells Brownfield the growth in milk production is NOT from dairies milking more cows, but from cows producing more milk.
