Agronomy powered by propane
Agronomy is being improved through propane-generated heat battling harmful plant pests. “We’re taking that heat and disrupting the lifecycle of that insect,” says Mike Newland, agriculture business development specialist with the Propane Education and Research Council. Agronomy in grape and vegetable production is augmented with propane, according to Newland, and it’s also being used to control some plant diseases.
