Stray voltage on the dairy farm
An electrical consultant for agriculture says farmers need to get familiar with stray voltage protocols.
Lawrence Neubauer is an agricultural consultant for Concept Electric with more than 20 years of experience working with livestock producers.
He says utilities have been using a benchmark of 500 ohms of resistance per cow on a dairy farm and years of testing have proven those standards don’t reflect the actual resistance of dairy cows.
