Pioneer soybean research tour covers four regions
In late July, Brownfield participated in a tour of DuPont Pioneer soybean research facilities in Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa and Ohio. At each location we had the opportunity to visit with Pioneer researchers and other individuals working to develop improved soybean varieties for farmers.
First stop—Moorhead, Minnesota
At Pioneer’s Moorhead facility, we talked to Alan Scott, technical product manager for the Dakotas and western Minnesota. Scott discussed the rapid expansion of soybean acres that has taken place in that region in the last 20 years.
