BASF has new technology that goes after piercing and sucking insects. The products use Inscalis technology that goes after those insects in soybeans and specialty crops. BASF technical marketing manager Duane Rathmann tells Brownfield Ag News, “Aphis, psyllids, white flies and probably leaf hoppers are the types of insects people would recognize that fall in that category. But, the great thing is, (the product) doesn’t control the other types of insects and many other insects are beneficial.”

EPA has just approved registration for its Inscalis products. The brand name for use in soybeans is Sefina. BASF says the products will be available for the 2019 growing season.
