Who will buy ugly carrots?

So-called “ugly” produce is adding to the food waste problem in the U.S. A new study by Ohio State asked 1,300 consumers if they would buy misshapen carrots and if so, would they pay more?

Professor Brian Roe says when consumers learn the ugly carrots are just as healthy and would not contribute to food waste many were willing to buy them and some were willing to pay more.
