About Ben Brown:

Ben Brown is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Missouri. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Agricultural Risk Management and Program Manager for the OSU Farm Management Program at The Ohio State University. A native of Western Missouri, growing up on a diversified row crop and cattle operation, he was active in 4-H and FFA leading to his passion for Extension. Ben received undergraduate degrees from Kansas State University in Agricultural Economics and Agronomy. He received a Master’s in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Missouri- Columbia where he was a graduate assistant to the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. His area of work focuses on applied farm management with interests in U.S. farm policy, commodity price analysis, and farm financial performance. He is thankful that he has been given the opportunity to work with producers and agribusinesses as a career.
