Steever joins NAFB Hall of Fame

Tom Steever was inducted into the 2019 National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Hall of Fame during the 76th Annual NAFB Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri November 13-15, 2019.

The NAFB Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to recognize leaders attributed to being powerful advocates in the field of agriculture. There are 65 inductees including this year’s duo, Max Armstrong and Tom Steever.

“I had known and respected Tom for many years before I hired him to come to work as an Anchor/Reporter for Brownfield,” says Cyndi Young, Brownfield Director of Ag & Operations. “His enthusiasm for farm broadcasting and love for his craft has only grown in these past 16 years. He is well known by his co-workers and those in the agriculture community for his calm demeanor, dry sense of humor and journalistic integrity. I am so very proud of him for receiving this well-deserved recognition.”

Tom joined NAFB in 1976 and has been member for 43 years. He has held several offices on the NAFB Board of Directors including President in 2012. He was selected as the NAFB’s Farm Broadcaster of the Year in 2017.
