Brownfield Intern Named Missouri Farm Bureau Ambassador

Brownfield, America’s Ag News Source, announces the selection of Tyne Morgan as a 2006 Missouri Farm Bureau Ambassador.  Morgan was selected during the organization’s 91st annual meeting at Osage Beach on Dec. 4.

Morgan, who is a Brownfield intern, is a sophomore at the University of Missouri- Columbia, majoring in agricultural journalism.  She is a member of Sigma Alpha professional sorority and a student member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting.  Morgan has received the 2003 Governor’s Youth Leadership Award and was recently a 2005 National FFA Ag Communications Proficiency Contest finalist.

The Missouri Farm Bureau ambassador program selects a male and female student, 17-22 years of age, to represent agriculture and Farm Bureau each year.  Additionally, each Ambassador receives a $1,250 educational scholarship.  Morgan was selected from a field of 25 contestants, and she will make selected appearances throughout 2006 promoting agriculture on behalf of Missouri Farm Bureau.
