Nicole Heslip came to Brownfield after five years of farm broadcasting with Michigan Farm Radio Network. Rooted in agriculture, Nicole grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Southwest Michigan. Since starting out on their own 20 years ago, the family has expanded the herd from 32 cows to 3,000 and started a custom farming business that now reaches across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Her involvement in FFA during high school led Nicole to Michigan State University, where she majored in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communications, specializing in Agri-Business Management and Public Relations. Nicole severed as a past FFA State Officer, Michigan Dairy Ambassador and National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow Officer.
Today she sits on the Michigan Agriculture and Environmental Assurance (MAEAP) Communications Workgroup and contributes to the Michigan Farmer Magazine. This 2014 NAFB Horizon Award Winner is a closet crafter who also enjoys trail running and spinning. She and her husband Kyle reside in Stevensville, Michigan.
